Before you believe the number

Once it is damping properly, the trace is itself a monitor

Two traps — a flattened trace is not always artifact: in genuine low output the waveform really does damp. And a radial line can underread central pressure by 10–20 mmHg after bypass or in vasodilated shock, so a normal transduced pressure does not exclude a low aortic one.
