Bedside Reference ("we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use bedside-reference.com.
What we collect
Nothing through forms. The site has no signup form, no account registration for readers, and no form that submits personal information to us. The topic search runs entirely in your browser. The site runs no analytics scripts, no advertising identifiers and no tracking cookies.
If you email us — to report an error or ask a question — we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, and use it only to reply.
What our hosting provider sees
The site is served by Netlify, Inc. Like any web host, Netlify processes standard request data — such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use that data to identify visitors.
Third-party resources
- Google Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google's font servers, so your browser sends a standard request to Google when a page loads.
- cdnjs (Cloudflare). When you download a set of carousel slides as a .zip, your browser fetches a small zip library from cdnjs.
- Netlify Identity. The homepage loads Netlify's Identity script, used only so site editors can sign in to the content manager. Readers are never asked to sign in.
- Instagram. Links to our Instagram posts take you to Instagram, where Instagram's own privacy policy applies.
Stored on your device
This site does not set cookies. If you switch between light and dark mode, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage. Pages you open may be cached on your device by the site's service worker so they work offline. Both stay on your device; clearing your browser's site data removes them.
Intended audience
Bedside Reference is intended for medical trainees and practicing clinicians.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. If we ever add analytics or collect personal information, we will disclose it here first.
